Crow's Eye Productions is a Lincoln-based production company run by producer and costumier Pauline Loven and director Nic Loven. Their channel's signature is the "Getting Dressed in..." series โ short, elegant films that show exactly what it took to dress in different eras of history.
Each film is researched and costumed to a high standard, shot in authentic locations with period-correct clothing made by the team. Their work has been commissioned by museums and galleries, and several films explore Victorian subjects โ including a Victorian maidservant's working day and Queen Victoria dressing on Christmas Eve 1848.
The production values are closer to period drama than to typical YouTube fare, with no lecture-heavy narration โ the costumes and the ritual of dressing do the talking. It is the closest thing to time travel the costume world has on film.
